Our terraced vineyards, which are located at various elevations,
embody the Caldaro wine-growing
area at its best.
“I have very clear expectations of my Lagrein: With its full-flavored taste, it must round off perfect moments of absolute peace and relaxation. For the site, I chose a vineyard near Lake Caldaro, which is one of the few in the area that offers exceptionally favorable conditions for Lagrein.”
Lagrein is native to South Tyrol and is one of the dominant red grape varieties there. It flourishes on sandy and gravelly soils, which are responsible for the wine’s ruby red color and complexity. Lagrein loves the Mediterranean climate, which delivers gentle notes of wild berries, cherry and violet.
