“It was clear at first sight that this vineyard would be ideal for the Gewürztraminer grape. I realized at once that it could produce a wine with zesty and seductive aromas to tempt even the most sophisticated palate.”
The Gewürztraminer grape variety is native to South Tyrol. It can be traced back to the Middle Ages and is very popular today. The name is a combination of its origins (Tramin/Termeno) and its main characteristic (“Gewürz” is German for “spice”). The wine is highly aromatic and intensive on the palate and has characteristics that are reminiscent of spices and rose blossoms.
