Chardonnay is a grape variety that is cultivated worldwide. Since the middle of the 19th century, it has also spread rapidly to South Tyrol – especially to areas of calcareous rock and scree, where it does best. The result is wines of great elegance with a long finish.

Winemaking The fully mature grapes are brought in in the early morning. They are carefully de-stemmed and crushed. The must is then transferred to fermentation tanks and stored at a controlled temperature.
Maturing At least six months on the lees in stainless steel tanks.

Color Light golden yellow.
Smell Elegant and impressive on the nose, with fruity aromas of apple and citrus fruits.
Taste Taste and minerality form the backbone of this wine, beginning with a convincing wealth of taste on the palate followed by a fine balance and a wonderfully long finish.
Storage Bottles should be stored horizontally in a cool, dark place with minimal temperature fluctuations and high humidity.

Recommended glass Young wine glasses.
Wine pairing guide A good companion to all dishes. Ideal with white meats and risottos and also with fish dishes, especially seafood and shellfish. Goes well with semi-mature cheeses.
